Women Build History
National Women Build Week challenges women to devote at least one day to help eliminate poverty housing. It began in 2007 and was developed through a partnership between Habitat for Humanity and Lowe’s, the underwriter of the Women Build program. Each year, thousands of women volunteer at more than 300 Habitat work sites, helping build houses and raise awareness for our mission.
Do you want to…
• Help other women build strength, stability, and self-reliance?
• Be an inspiration for the other women in your life?
• Learn new skills related to construction and home maintenance?
• Have fun and make new friendships?
• Celebrate Women in Trades and the strength of women?
Over 150 women locally will join around 17,000 women nationally to build homes the week leading up to Mother’s Day.
Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity in Eastern Jackson County needs you for Women Build 2018.
Bring your group from work, church, sports team, family, or come on your own.
Help build one or more days: Tuesday, May 8-Saturday, May 12th, 2018.
Register Today (space is limited to 200)
$25 for an Individual Registration (includes t-shirt, hard hat, lunch, snacks, and build experience). www.TrumanHabitat.org/Women-Build.html
Group and Corporate sponsorship levels are also available. If your group wants a particular day, e-mail Lindsay, LBrowne@TrumanHeritage.org today to check availability and reserve a slot (maximum 20 per site per day, 2 active sites).
