Visiting this community allows you to feel the music, the barbecue smells reminds you that this is it! The area is rich in black history and culture. The Negro League Baseball Museum is located in this district. Inside the museum, our past confronts us. The baseball players stand on an indoor baseball field in their starting positions. Because of the imposed race rules, the Negro League players never had a chance at the big leagues. Jackets, shirts, and other baseball memorabilia are for sale. The celebration of jazz is evident in this area with the sounds captured in the latest technologies.
