Who is Johnny Kaw?

Johnny Kaw is the Midwest Paul Bunyan created by a former K-State professor. He wrote a number of tall tales depicting how Johnny created the Kansas landscape, invented sunflowers and even controlled the weather wringing out rain clouds to end droughts.

His pets were the Wildcat and the Jayhawk. A 30' statue stands in City Park in Manhattan, KS to honor this legendary folk hero. We think Johnny would like the place, and hopefully you will too.

Why Johnny Kaw's?

Our niche in Westport is our cheap beer, water-pong tables and our shot / bomb boards. We are a great place to watch a game during the day and enjoy KC's best DJ's on the weekends. Our sports bar holds around 400 people, with our two main rooms, patio and additional bar upstairs that can be rented out.

Our eighty foot bar allows for quick service from our fun, fast, energetic staff...many of them recent KSU grads. We invite fans from all over to come party at Kaw's.
