We encourage costumers, cosplayers and everyone who loves Halloween to come show us what you have! Who will walk away with this year’s best in show? Who is going to share in the $10,000 prize pool?
Planet Comicon Kansas City is the region's largest and longest-running pop culture and comic book convention. It’s a galaxy of fun and adventure spread over three days, coming back to Bartle Hall on March 20-22, 2020.
Official Costume Contest Rules :
Contest Entry Period begins at 8:00 pm CST on 10/26/2019 and ends at 9:59pm CST on 10/26/2019.
Contest begins at 8:00 pm CST on 10/26/2019 and ends at the conclusion of Contest judging. Only one Entry per person allowed.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
Open to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia, excluding Rhode Island, New York, Florida, Puerto Rico, all U.S. territories and possessions, and all overseas military installations, who have reached the age of twenty-one (21). Must be present at Event to win.
Prize consists of $3,000 (ARV $3,000) for 1st place, $1,500 (ARV $1,500) for 2nd place, $500 (ARV $500) for 3rd place, and one (1) Kansas City Live! themed prize pack (ARV $50) for the Entrants advancing to Round 2, 3, or 4 who do not win the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place Prize.
Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received; Winner will be chosen based on 4 rounds of judging. Round 1 is based on originality, quality, effort, and authenticity. Rounds 2, 3, and 4 are based on crowd applause.
